"The Bus" final destination Super Bowl XL
The distance between Pittsburgh and Detroit is about 220 miles - about a 5- or 6-hour bus ride. The journey Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jerome "The Bus" Bettis took 13 NFL seasons to complete.
With the Pittsburgh Steelers beating the Denver Broncos last Sunday, to win their first AFC championship since 1995, the ride Bettis had so longed to complete finally will stop in the place he knows the best - Detroit, Michigan.
