"The Bus" final destination Super Bowl XL
With the Pittsburgh Steelers beating the Denver Broncos last Sunday, to win their first AFC championship since 1995, the ride Bettis had so longed to complete finally will stop in the place he knows the best - Detroit, Michigan. Oh yes, the Bus will head his way home for his first and probably his last Super Bowl trip.
It's hard to remember that just two seasons ago, the Steelers' organization had all but told Bettis, "thanks for the memories, now put your bags on the bus and drive out of town". Despite having rushed for more than 9,200 yards in eight seasons in Pittsburgh, Bettis was told he would no longer be the feature back. Super Bowl XL may be Bettis' final Bus Stop
